Will the benchtop scratch?
Under normal conditions, no. Granite, quartz, and quartzite are largely scratch-resistant. However, diamond or tungsten implements can scratch the surface.
How do you clean the benchtop?
You can use mostly hot soapy water or household glass and surface cleaners (Spray & Wipe).
Do I need to seal my natural stone kitchen top?
Marble needs to be sealed with a good quality penetrating sealer, as it is a more porous stone. Unsealed marble will stain more easily. Basically, sealing gives you time to clean up spills before they stain the stone.
