Do grey marble tiles need sealing?
As with Travertine, a coat of impregnating sealer should be applied before fixing. This will help stop adhesive and grout from sticking to the pores in the surface while the tiles are being fitted. Polished Marble should be sealed with a liquid Sealer which will require buffing off after 20 – 30 minutes.
What adhesive do you use for grey marble paving tiles?
Cementitious tile glues are suitable for most marble tiling applications, horizontal and vertical. Nevertheless, when the tiling is likely to be subject to temperature extremes or fluctuation, a slightly more expensive construction epoxy should be considered.
