Carrara marble is a white or blue-gray marble widely used in sculpture and architectural decoration. It is mined in the city of Karara in Massa Province and in the city of Karara in Rooney Guiana, the northernmost part of modern Tuscany, Italy.

Protection
Vinegar, citrus and tomatoes corrode marble; don't let them sit on stones.
Treat marble like fine wood finishes. Use coasters and chopping boards. Remove spills immediately;
Clean
Avoid using acidic or abrasive cleaners.
On-site treatment
To remove stubborn stains, use a paste. Apply it to the stain, then cover it with plastic packaging and seal it with the painter's tape.
