The original granite cobblestone pavers were natural round stones collected from the riverbed. Granite Cobblestone paving combined with mortar is more prone to problems, especially in cold climates where frost/thaw cycles can cause cracks to break. Regular inspection and regrouting can keep the surface in good condition.
