Grey agate is natural form of agate, this semi precious gemstone is known for its first appearance in colourful agate family. It has beautiful tones of grey, blue and white. This semi-translucent stone can be backlit, completely transforming the look and feel of any room. The use of agates have been traced back to the Egyptians, where they were used for seals, rings and decorating. Today, agates are popular in art and jewelry due to their hardness and resistance to chemicals.
Grey agate slabs are manufactured by gluing a lot of smaller grey agate slabs together. The result is striking, large semi-precious slabs that can be backlit thanks to the transparency of the gems. This is a very rare, unique and luxurious product.
