About Snowflake White Marble

Marble has been widely used in decoration since ancient times because of its beautiful colors, unique luster, beautiful patterns without repetition, and stable physical and chemical properties and easy care.

With the steady improvement of China's economic strength, the public has higher and higher requirements for working and living environments. The use of marble has entered the residences of ordinary people from the original luxurious public buildings.
Snowflake White is originally produced in the Carrara mining area in north-central Italy. The only marble mined here in the world can be called Snowflake White due to the limitation of output and origin.
The texture color of snowflake white is mostly black or gray, and a small part is black with greenish or yellowish brown. The texture runs through the marble slab surface and is irregularly distributed.
Snowflake white marble is soft and prone to breakage at the texture. Snowflake White is a high-end variety of marble due to the limited output and production area, and is generally used in important places such as lobbies and banquet halls.
Due to the different qualities of snowflake white stone, the decorative effect of its final molding is very different, and the price also ranges from several hundred to several thousand.

Therefore, understanding the grading method of snowflake white is very important to buy genuine materials and ensure the quality of the project. Generally speaking, the price of snowflake white is mainly determined by the following factors:
1. The whiter the background color, the higher the price; (the primary pricing factor for snowflake white)

2. The more distinct the primary and secondary textures, the fewer fine lines, and the more uniform the main lines, the higher the price;

3. The price without macula and gray spot is higher; the less and less obvious the crack, the higher the price;

4. The price of the board without yin and yang is higher.

Generally, snowflake white has the following names in the stone market according to its quality:
1. For the stone with gray background and fine lines, it is generally called fine flower white or Carrara white. This kind of stone is relatively cheap and widely used;
2. For those with a grayish-black background, many lines and a mesh pattern, they are generally called large white or medium white. The price of this kind of stone is also lower;
3. For those with white background and clear lines, they are generally called snowflake white. Among them, those with clear primary and secondary lines, less fine lines, obvious main lines and uniform width are generally called super snowflake white (see attached photo for details). The price of this kind of stone is generally above 4,000 yuan/m2. Therefore, in general engineering It is rarely used in a large area in the project, and is generally only used as a finishing touch in important spaces such as lobbies and banquet halls
4. For snowy white with a slightly yellowish base (commonly known as milky white) and a lighter grain color, usually with a little yellow or green, it is generally called fish maw white or Calacatta white (see attached picture for details). This kind of stone also belongs to the top-grade variety of snowflake white like the super grade snowflake white, and the price is higher;
