How To Install The Artificial Marble Stone?

Before installation
Avoid product damage and hidden cracks caused by drops and impacts during transportation and handling. When storing the product outdoors, it should be covered with waterproof material to prevent rain.

• The cement and mortar used during installation should not be too wet to avoid the following consequences:

• A vapor film may form between the cement and the product so that the two do not bond properly.

• Moisture in cement has difficulty escaping into the air, so it continues to undergo an alkaline reaction with the cement, causing corrosion to the product and possibly causing deformation and cracks.

• Cement and mortar must be mixed well, uneven mortar structure is weak, not only will lead to loss of cohesion, but also may chip and damage the product under heavy load.

• When using white cement for installation, the user should check its strength and quality, as some white cement on the market is counterfeit and shoddy.

• Delamination on walls:

• First, level and smooth the wall, then wash and clean the surface.

• Apply two coats of cement.

• Fix the product firmly to the wall with wires and screws.

• Fill the gap between the wall and the product with 1:3 grout.

• Clean product surfaces.

• If the product is installed in direct sunlight, it must be protected with a damp cloth for 4 hours. If the installation requires more water than usual, the product must be water or moisture resistant.

• Delamination on the floor

• Mark a substantially horizontal line on the floor, any bumps above this line should be removed and any dents below this line should be filled.

• Grout should be prepared from one part cement, four parts sand and water, mixed to a semi-hydrated state.

• Spread 3 to 4 cm of grout evenly over the floor, then carefully place the product on top and flush with the floor.

• After all is leveled, remove the product and apply a coat of special sealing material. If special seals are not available, users can evenly brush a layer of high-quality black cement on the back of the product.

• Put the product on top of the cement and tap lightly with a rubber or wooden hammer to make it bond better with the cement. The user should level the product and adjust the spacing between each board. If one or more of the slabs is not level with the others, remove the uneven slab to adjust its base cement and repeat steps d) and e). Generally, there should be a gap of 2 mm between each board to allow for drying and thermal expansion. When laying a large area, an air gap should be left regularly to prevent the product from being deformed or cracked due to the expansion and contraction of the structure or the floor. After the product is laid, it should take 3 to 5 days to seal the gap so that the cement under the product can fully dry. Sealing too quickly may prevent water from escaping, and the alkaline reaction continues with the vapors in the cement. When the steam escapes, the sodium salt and alkaline steam will evaporate from the micropores of the product, causing a white coating to form on the surface of the product, seriously affecting the appearance of the product. Sealing should be carried out with professional stone sealant or white cement, and if there is any overflow of sealant, it should be cleaned up in time.

maintenance

• After the product is installed, do not walk on it until the cement is dry (at least 24 hours) to avoid unevenness or damage to the product.

• If other decorations must be carried out after the product is installed, please do not tear off the protective film on the product, and must lay a layer of carpet or wood board on it to avoid damage to the product. After all renovations are completed, tear off the protective film and maintain the product regularly.

• Place a rug or duster at the entrance of the artificial marble layering chamber to prevent sand and stones from scratching the surface of the product. Due to the microporous structure of the product, any contaminated substances such as ink, coffee, tea, oil, etc. should be cleaned thoroughly in time to avoid affecting the appearance of the product.

• Avoid cleaning the product with acidic or alkaline cleaners. Since the main component of the product is natural marble, a variant of limestone whose composition is calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ), non-neutral materials can dull its luster. Common cleaning agents on the market use acidic or alkaline materials to achieve immediate results. Long-term use of these cleaning agents will cause the product to lose its luster and affect its decorative value.

• The product should not be covered by carpet for long periods of time. If the carpet covers the product for a long time without changing and breathing, moisture will accumulate inside the product, causing condensation to appear on the surface of the product later. If the carpet must cover the product for a long time, the user should choose a breathable carpet. Keep the indoor air circulation well to prevent condensation and mildew.

• Do not use ordinary floor wax to polish the product. Ordinary floor wax is oily wax, which will accumulate dust, block micropores, and produce wax spots. Over time, the surface of the product will not be clean. We recommend customers to use special stone curing agent to maintain product appearance, avoid slipping, increase durability and prevent static electricity.

• Regular maintenance will extend the life of the product and maintain its good looks. Specific maintenance instructions can be obtained from local cleaning experts, and maintenance work should be carried out by professionals to avoid damage to the product.
