Steps for paving bluestone slabs in scenic spots
Aug 26, 2020
Bluestone paving steps:
1. Spring line
In order to control the position of the granite slab and bluestone slab, pull the cross control line within the area of the pavement zone, and bounce it on the concrete cushion, then find the surface elevation according to the +50cm elevation line of the slab surface, and pop up the horizontal elevation line on the board .
2. Trial
Pave two dry sand roads in two mutually perpendicular directions including , the width of which is greater than the width of the plate, and the thickness is not less than 3cm. Combining the large-scale construction drawing and the actual size of the landscape paving partition, arrange the paving panels to check the gaps between the panels, and check the gaps between the panels and the walls, columns, openings, tree pools, side stones, flat edges, etc. relative position.
3. Brushing cement slurry and laying mortar leveling layer
After trial laying, remove the sand and slabs, clean them, use a watering can to moisten them, and brush a layer of plain cement slurry (water-cement ratio is 0.4-0.5, do not brush the area too large, brush with the mortar). According to the level of the board surface and the thickness of the mortar leveling layer required by the design, draw the cross control line. Begin to pave the leveling layer dry hard cement mortar (use 1:2.5 dry hard cement mortar, the dry hard degree should be kneaded into a mass by hand, and it is better to disperse on the ground), and the thickness should be controlled to be 3~ higher than the surface level when the bluestone board is placed. 4mm. After paved, use a small bar to level it, and then use a trowel to pat it to level it (the area of the paving should not be too large).
4. Paving slabs
Slabs should be soaked with water first, and can be laid after being wiped or the surface is dry. According to the cross control line drawn by the paving area, pave one row vertically and horizontally as a large-area paving standard. According to the number and pattern during the trial assembly and the gap during the trial arrangement (the width of the gap between the plates, when the design is not specified, should not be greater than 1mm), start paving at the intersection of the cross control lines. Try to pave first, then lift the plate to align the vertical and horizontal control lines and lay it on the laid dry hard mortar leveling layer, and hit the wooden backing board with a rubber hammer (not directly hit the plate with a rubber hammer or wooden hammer) to firm up After the mortar reaches the laying height, lift the plate and move it aside to check whether the surface of the mortar and the plate are consistent. If there is any vacancy, apply mortar to fill it, and then formally inlay and pave the cement mortar bonding layer. The plain cement slurry with a water-cement ratio of 0.5 (pour evenly with a grout pot), and then lay the plates. When placing them, the four corners will fall down at the same time. Use a rubber or wooden hammer to lightly hit the wooden backing plate, level it with an iron level according to the horizontal line, and finish laying. The first piece is laid sequentially to the sides and back. After the vertical and horizontal paving, there are standards, which can be paved in sections.
5. Fill and wipe the seam
Grouting and wiping the joints 1~2 days and nights after the slabs are laid. According to the color of the paving material, choose the same color mineral pigments and cement (or white cement) to mix evenly, adjust to a 1:1 thin cement slurry, and slowly pour into the gap between the plates with a grout pot (can be divided into several times) , And use a long scraper to scrape the outflowing cement slurry into the gap until it is basically filled. After grouting for 1 to 2 hours, wipe the seams with the original thin cement slurry and smooth the surface of the board with a cotton yarn ball, and at the same time wipe the surface of the board with the grout to make the surface of the bluestone board clean, flat and solid. After the above procedures are completed, Cover the surface layer.
