How To Clean White Terrazzo Floors

The following article describes some mistakes you can make when you set out to clean terrazzo floors. If a spill occurs on the terrozzo floor, do not panic and clean it quickly to avoid stains and additional surface wear. Spills can occur almost every day, and if they are not quickly cleaned and allowed to dry, there may be stains on the new Terrazzo tile floor. 

So use a pH neutral stone cleaner to remove the remaining paint stripper and clean the surface, or wipe the floor thoroughly with a neutral cleaner and put it in a warm bucket of clean water. Otherwise, use the recommended cleaning solution regularly to clean your terrazzo floor. You can also clean it every other day with a damp moop, as recommended neutral cleaners are designed for terrozzos floors. 

Next, spread the heavy duty floor cleaner on the floor with a sponge or mop and leave the cleaner on the remaining oil, grease or stains for a while.

If this method does not work, you will need to strip the entire floor to get rid of the stains. If this process does not completely remove the stain from your terrazzo, then scratch the surface to try to remove it. Since the wax sealer is removed, I recommend removing the sealant (Lithofin Wax Off) and then cleaning the tile with Powerclean again. 

The installation of a maintenance programme to remove dirt and dirt extends the life and polished shine of your terrazzo floors. Observe recommended maintenance requirements by wiping dust frequently and cleaning it with a dust wiper if necessary. 

Most people can clean their own floors daily and from time to time use the cleaning costs for cleaning the floors themselves to perform a basic cleaning. This saves a considerable amount of working hours in cleaning costs and reduces cleaning effort.

If your terrazzo floor now looks old and boring, you can restore it to its pristine condition in a few minutes with tile cleaning A (r). 

Note: When cleaning your terrazzo floor, avoid using bleach or abrasives such as ammonia or vinegar directly on the floor to remove dust, dirt and dirt. Terrazzo floors are maintained in the best condition by regular vacuum cleaning A (r) followed by a damp wipe after each cleaning, and this will preserve the glazed ceramic tile floor in most cases. If the floor is dirty, remove traces by using a cleaning solution designed for stone floors. If it looks like most of the powder has been absorbed, continue with a mop with a damp microfibre mop. Dry the mixing bowl with a dry towel to remove as much liquid as possible, and then with a normal neutral cleaner designed for Terrazzo. 

If your terrazzo floor is not sealed with a commercial sealant, use a steam cleaner, but not if it has been left in one position for too long. Use a towel saturated with white vinegar to remove any bleach residues, and then a microfiber mop or dry towel for a few minutes. 

If your terrazzo floor is porous, the bleach is absorbed into the cement and begins to break off and damage the floor. To remove such stubborn stains, soak a cloth with hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar. If paint has entered the terrazzo floor due to an oil stain, use warm water mixed with a liquid detergent to gently clean the affected surface. Do not allow the detergents to dry on the floor as they will become sticky and could form a white film on surfaces.
