A brief analysis of the reasons why the stone will not dry for a long time

1. Diversification of stone varieties

Under normal circumstances, water spots appearing on stone products are white, beige and other light-colored series. For example, a kind of white granite is characterized by middle-acid magmatic rock, high degree of crystallinity, abundant micro-cracks between crystals, high water absorption rate, and high content of various metal minerals. Because of these characteristics, when paving, the amount of alkaline substances in cement is easily carried into the stone by moisture, and it is easy to chemically react with the metal minerals in the stone, resulting in natural alum. The so-called water crystals of salt exist between the cleavage of the rock and the cracks between the crystals, so under normal circumstances it brings difficulty to the evaporation of water stains on the stone. Over time, water spots will form.

2. Improper use of stone protective agent or selection of varieties

We all know that there are many types of protective agents in the stone market. For different products, different protective parts, and even different paving methods, the final protective agent used is different. In fact, the most important thing is the choice of construction methods and the use of protective agents. It is often found that the same stone (basic to unified large slab), same cement, and sand are used on the facade or ground in the unified building area. Under the circumstances, different water spots (stains) appear on even a uniform stone, that is, some stones are dry and some are wet.

This situation is basically the result of using stone protective agent but not operating according to the requirements. There is a big difference in the amount of protective agent used and the average degree of painting. The proportion is sufficient according to the use requirements, and the average stone is painted, and it dries quickly. On the contrary, the phenomenon of water spots (stains) will not dry easily.

3. The choice of cement and sand in the finished paving and the control of water volume are all important factors that cause water spots

Stone paving occasionally encounters the use of white cement, white sand, and light-colored stones for paving. As a result, water spots and yellowing of the stone appear on a large scale, and it is basically restored after repeated management.

During construction, the alkali content, manganese content, iron content, sand content (impurity content), and water content of cement should be strictly controlled. Otherwise, the stone will be polluted by different procedures.
