Is Quartz Tiles Used In Floor Paving?

Sep 01, 2020

Quartz stone is an environmentally friendly architectural decorative stone, which everyone is familiar with. Currently, quartz stone is widely used in cabinet countertops, test benches, window sills, etc. I have to say that the cabinet countertop seems to be synonymous with quartz stone. Many people will say that quartz stone is unique to countertops. This is not true. Quartz stone was first applied to countertops because domestic quartz stone manufacturers have limited production technology and capacity, and most of them rely on imports. This has led to the high price of quartz stone, and ordinary income families can only choose to apply it to cabinets with high requirements for countertops.

With the improvement of production technology and production capacity of quartz stone manufacturers in my country, quartz stone has been fully used in overall home decoration. Because the water absorption rate of quartz stone is extremely low, the surface is smooth, and it is not easy to stick. When using traditional cement mortar to pave the road, if it is not handled properly, water stains and discoloration are prone to occur, causing more hollowing, cracking, falling off, bulging and other problems than natural stone.

More and more places where quartz stone is used on the ground. In order to avoid various undesirable phenomena, the choice of materials is particularly important. The thickness of the quartz stone should be greater than 20mm, and the quartz stone manufacturer should specify the ground use when purchasing, because the formula of the quartz stone floor tiles is different from other application areas. The adhesive should abandon the traditional cement mortar paving, and use special rubber powder for paving. Because the surface of the quartz stone is smooth, it is necessary to prevent the quartz stone from separating from the adhesive in the later stage, and brush the adhesive before paving.

1. Stir the rubber powder. The ratio of rubber powder to water is 1 part water and 4 parts dry powder. The ratio of powder to water can be appropriately changed according to construction habits to adjust the thinness. Use a low-speed (300r/min) electric stirrer to stir evenly without raw powder mass.

2. Adhesive, the board should be coated with adhesive 2 hours before use. The adhesive must be completely transparent before use.

3. After leveling, confirm that there is no water or dust on the surface of the base. The thickness of the scraped quartz stone glue (plate shape / complete batch scraping) is 7 mm-15mm or more. Make the back of the same stone, 2- Then paste the quartz stone with a thickness of 3 mm and use a rubber hammer to tap the new paste gently to make the quartz stone fully adhere to the adhesive. Then correct the seam between the horizontal board and the adjacent board, paying attention to the seam between the stones above 3mm.
