When Is The Window Sill Marble Installed

1. When will the window sill marble be installed

Before the wall treatment, the window sill marble should be installed, because there will be gaps after the marble is installed. Later, it can be compensated by scraping the putty. While doing the wall treatment, the window sill must be maintained. If the window sill stone needs to be installed after the wall is processed, pay attention to the gap between the window sill stone and the two ends of the wall not to exceed 2 mm.

2. Precautions for installing window sill marble

 1. Do not use cement to join the joints

There will be seams when installing the window sill, it is recommended to use glass glue for jointing. To avoid cement joints, only when there are gaps in the stone joints, use cement to fill in, the effect is more significant.

3. Do not process window sill marble in winter

Avoid winter during stone processing. This is because stone is generally processed in the open air. If the temperature is too low, the marble will not stick firmly and easily fall off.

4. If the stone has a back net, it is not suitable for narrow window sills

Otherwise, cracking is easy to occur, and it can only be handled by sticking and polishing protection, but the service life is difficult to guarantee.

5. Pay attention to maintenance after installation

After installing the window sill marble, proper maintenance should be done. Waxing is not recommended, because wax contains acid and alkali substances, which can block the pores of the stone, causing wax dirt to be easily stained in the later stage, and the wax contains ammonia substances, which will adversely affect the human body and the environment.
