Data shows that in 2011, the import and export of stone materials at Xiamen Port amounted to 13.54 million tons, with a value of 4.07 billion US dollars, an increase of 13.7%. Among them, 6.83 million tons were exported, worth 2.94 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 15%; imports were 6.71 million tons, worth 1.13 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 9.9%.

It is understood that at present, Xiamen has 4 large-scale block distribution centers and sales markets, which concentrate all kinds of high-quality stones from all over the world, with more than 1,000 types, including more than 50% of Brazilian high-grade granite and more than 60% of Indian granite. Stone blocks, more than 30% of Turkish marble blocks, and more than 80% of Italian beige and Spanish beige are distributed, processed and re-exported in Xiamen. Ten million tons are dynamically stacked on the field all year round.

At the same time, Xiamen has more than 1,200 stone import and export enterprises, and controls the supply of more than 6,000 stone processing factories in Xiamen and surrounding areas. Moreover, Xiamen's stone processing quality is world-class, with the country's largest state-owned stone equipment manufacturing plant, and most of the world’s major stone-producing countries’ mine owners have offices, offices or branches in Xiamen.

Although the global economy has a great influence on the stone industry, the scale of the 12th Xiamen International Stone Fair, which opened on March 6th, has not decreased but increased. The current stone fair has attracted 1,500 companies from 52 countries and regions around the world. The total number of domestic and foreign merchants is expected to exceed 120,000, which is close to the scale of the world's largest stone fair-Verona Stone Fair in Italy.
